Ron Barnes, Senior Pastor
Ron is our fun-loving Senior Pastor who came to Grand River Community Church
in January of 1998, when the church was only a few months old.
Ron has over 20 years of Pastoral experience. He holds the Bachelor
of Arts degree from the University of Waterloo and the Master
of Divinity from Central Baptist Seminary (now Heritage
Theological Seminary). He is married to his wonderful wife
Susan and they have two beautiful daughters Elizabeth and Laura. Ron loves expositional preaching and the
Biblical study that goes with it, sports, music, time with
family and friends and sharing the good news of Jesus with
anyone that will listen.
James Bast, Youth Pastor
James has been with Grand River Community Church from its very
beginning. James began as a volunteer, pioneering what is the worship
ministry at GRCC, building worship teams. Now he has done the
same thing in Youth ministry as he leads an excellent team
of volunteers for both TNT: Teens & Nearly Teens (Jr. High)
and Sr. High Youth ministry. His wife Karen volunteers
extensively in youth and worship ministries as well. James
is part-time with GRCC. James
holds the Bachelor of Theology from Heritage Baptist College
and is presently working on his Master of Divinity from
Heritage Seminary.
