Meet the Team
Jamie Hauer
Lead Pastor
Jamie began a 2-year internship with Grand River Community Church in May of 2014 in youth ministry and carried on as full time staff in May of 2016 after he graduated from Heritage College and Seminary. As time progressed, responsibilities grew to include most aspects of pastoral ministry, which God used to prepare him for his role as lead pastor, which he has held since September 2025. In his role as a humble servant, he enjoys the discipleship and teaching of God’s people, pointing all to the grace of God found in the Lord Jesus.
He is married to Amy and they have 4 kids; Theodore, Eloise, Phoebe and Linus. He enjoys sports, music, and time with family and friends.
To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honour and glory and might, forever and ever. Amen.
Meet the Elders.

Jamie Hauer
Elder / Lead Pastor
I am privileged to have served this family for a number of years, witnessing God at work in and through us. My continuous prayer is that as this church endeavors to make committed followers of Jesus who serve Him, His people, and our community with their whole selves, love for God would increase. As we gather together on a Sunday morning or gather during the week, we trust that our worship will be used to draw everyone present into a closer relationship with Him. Whether you are just investigating or have belonged to Jesus for many years, I hope we can join you on your journey.

Joel Robinson
Elder
I am an elder at GRCC and I am married to a lovely wife, and father to two beautiful children. I am a technical writer for work and when I'm not doing anything else, I'll likely be playing music, fishing, or reading. I am in ministry because I love Jesus, I am called to follow Him, and He has equipped me to serve. I am blessed to be a part of Jesus' church, GRCC.

Mark Mitchell
Elder / Facilities
I have a strong passion for health, fitness, and enjoying great food. Outside of work, I enjoy sports—especially baseball—and staying active. I’m deeply involved in church life and love serving in several areas including teller, tech, ushering, and helping communicate the gospel.
One of the things I value most is connecting with people in my church community. I enjoy listening to the stories and experiences of the families who attend and understanding their perspectives. My family and I share a sincere passion for Christ and desire to serve Him faithfully while encouraging others in their walk of faith.

Pauline Bott
Music / Office Admin
Jesus called me to Himself in the summer between grades 9 and 10 at camp, in Paris, Ontario.
There have been many humbling and valuable life lessons since then that God has used to chislel away at my character defects. I anticipate this to continue until I meet my Saviour.
I am the wife of 1 very patient man, mother of 3 wonderful adult children, and grandma to 7 active, smart, and creative grandchildren.
In my spare time, I like to sing, bake cookies, fiddle in a garden and drive down new roads to take shots of nature. I will pull the truck over if I see a hawk on a branch or wire and just stare. They amaze me!
My grandmother prayed for me and our family every morning on her knees. She and a few others have been the prayer warriors that have spoken into this life I now live. I will be forever grateful to them.

Ruth Robinson
Instruction Coordinator
Hey there! My name is Ruth Robinson and I’m the Instruction Coordinator at GRCC. I have been teaching in Discovery Zone for over 20 years and it has been a joy and delight to witness kids’ hearts toward Jesus grow through what we learn in DZ (and sometimes they even teach me something new!). Teaching has always been close to my heart - and I am an elementary teacher at a local school. If I’m not teaching, you can find me going on hikes enjoying God’s creation, reading and spending time with friends and family. I’m excited to continue to serve here at GRCC where I can continue to mentor the next generation, similar to how I was mentored as a child here.

Jillian Tucker
Small Group Coordinator
I serve as the Small Group Coordinator. My husband and I have three wonderful adult children and one adorable little grandson. Small groups have always been really important to me because it’s in them that our faith can be strengthened, the ups and downs of life shared and we can encourage each other to walk closer with God. I’m so grateful to be part of this church family and excited to see how God will continue to work in and through our community.

Katherine Robinson
Clerk
My name is Katherine and I have been the clerk since 2017.
I married my high school sweetheart and we have two precious children.
I work full time as a data analyst and in my spare time I do laundry and play monopoly with my children. I also enjoy reading historical fiction and murder mysteries. I feel blessed to be able to continue to serve in this way.

Alan Van Rees
Building Manager
I oversee the maintenance of the church building and property, and I feel that GRCC has been richly blessed with a functional building and a beautiful property. I believe that being a good steward of what God has blessed our church family with is important, and I’m passionate about making that happen.
I love cycling the roads and trails in Centre Wellington, and when I’m not pedalling, I enjoy reading, fishing, and travelling with my wife, Charlene.
